Used extensively during one of the most flourishing Italian artistic eras, the Renaissance, Calacatta Mediceo is a first-class stone quarried in Carrara and arranged as a ceramic slab to bring to mind the natural essence which spawns it: the solidity of prized marble, the malleability of the material, the aesthetic and tactile identity of the glossy surface finish, which sets a new canon of beauty, elegance and solemnity for the surfaces if clads. Calacatta Mediceo stands out with its extremely evident, wide vein pattern, enhanced by orange-brown oxidation marks: a note of eccentricity to lend the furnishings a luxurious yet informal look.
