Collection I Naturali
In Melbourne, Australia, the Aintree Show Home is a fine example of contemporary residential architecture, in which design, nature and exquisite materials dialogue in perfect harmony. The project, designed by Forma Living and built by Singh Homes, consists of a warm, comfortable home, with large, light-filled interiors defined by carefully selected surfaces and furnishings. In this context, Laminam’s contribution is crucial in achieving the right balance of style and performance, emphasising the architectural features with extremely durable surfaces of immense visual impact.
A Verde Alpi Bush-Hammered fireplace is the tactile heart of the living-room
The living area, flooded with natural light and with an impressive height of 5.7 metres, is the real heart of the home. This interior is dominated by the vertical cladding of the fireplace wall, created with the I Naturali collection in Verde Alpi Bush-Hammered finish. As Singh Homes designer Olivia Sorensen underlines, the choice of this material “anchors the interior with a sense of luxurious calm”, giving it depth and a timeless elegance.
Verde Alpi Bush-Hammered was used in the striking Book Match version, which creates an effect of visual continuity and a very beautiful symmetrical pattern. The slabs, inspired by the natural stone, reproduce all the marble’s varied shades and vein patterns, delighting the eyes and touch with an experience of exceptional quality. The warmth of the parquet floors and fabrics in neutral and smokey-grey shades combine in a tasteful dialogue with the green notes of the ceramic coverings and other furnishings, creating a mood of comfort and sophistication.
Performance and sustainability for design that stands the test of time
The choice of Laminam surfaces isn’t just a matter of style: it also involves responsibility and practicality. Ceramic slabs offer outstanding resistance to scratches, wear and thermal shock, making them ideal for vertical applications like the fireplace cladding. Their tough, compact structure ensures safe installation and minimal maintenance, while their non-porous surface is easy to clean and resistant to stains and chemicals.
This state-of-the-art material’s profile is completed by Laminam’s deep-seated commitment to sustainability. The slabs consist of 100% natural raw materials and the leading-edge production process guarantees minimal environmental impact. This environmental awareness, combined with their excellent technical performance, makes Laminam surfaces the ideal solution for residential projects like the Aintree Show Home, which aim to deliver a luxury home living experience and wellbeing inspired by Nature.
For this interior, I wanted a material that would be the focus of all attention, something sculptural, rich and with a profound connection to Nature. The Laminam Verde Alpi finish was the perfect choice. Its deep green colouring, layered with intricate vein patterns and variety, is a bold yet refined addition to the design scheme. The bush-hammered surface adds a tactile dimension and establishes a magnificent interaction with the natural light, while also creating depth and softness. By anchoring the interior with a sense of calm luxury, it produced exactly the effect we were looking for.
