Laminam Publishes Its 2024 Sustainability Report: A Strategic Agenda Focused on Optimizing Products and Processes
Environment, people, and governance are the three pillars of sustainability that support the Company’s harmonious growth.
Reduction and rationalization were once again the key concepts guiding Laminam’s environmental sustainability efforts in 2024, with a focus on both products and processes.
Sustainability Put to the Test of Efficiency
A standout initiative was the launch, during the 2024 Salone del Mobile, of “twO by Laminam,” the new and revolutionary collection of ultra-thin surfaces. At just 2 mm thick, they make ceramic cladding even more sustainable.
Following the major revamping and expansion of the Fiorano photovoltaic park, Laminam installed additional solar systems at the Borgotaro production site in 2024 and is currently planning the implementation of an innovative trigeneration process.
This commitment has translated into concrete results: a 9% reduction in CO₂ emissions per square meter of product, a decrease in hazardous waste (now at just 1%), and continuous improvements in water recycling, contributing to a cleaner environment alongside growing performance.
Human Resources: Smart Flexibility for Better Work-Life Balance
In 2024, Laminam also continued to invest in the development of its human capital — the true core and nerve center of the company.
This is clearly demonstrated by both the quantity and quality of training delivered (9,000 hours) and the implementation of an HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) model based on constant and ongoing collaboration between management and employees.
While flexibility in the workplace often carries negative connotations, Laminam has redefined it in a positive and forward-thinking way. In 2024, the company expanded its voluntary flexible working hours and smart working initiatives, introducing a more personalized approach to time management that makes it easier to balance work and private life, with a strong focus on wellbeing.
A truly sustainable evolution for a company whose governance supports consistent and robust growth. A key milestone in 2024 was the attainment of the Legality Rating, a tool introduced by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) to promote ethical principles in business conduct.
